Sign the Petition Saving | Poverty-Fighting Funding

Subject: Saving Poverty-Fighting Funding

Hello, my name is Edward Janus | Disability Advocate and Activist. I have Cerebral Palsy and I am a permanently disabled amputee confined to a wheelchair. I am a Homebound, Shut-In and I Live Alone. I have been on Permanent Social Security Disability since 1996. After my wife was killed in 1999 I receive only one household income. A Social Security check monthly. I would contact people by telephone, but I am also deaf. I cannot hear very well on the phone. You can reach me by email or regular mail.

I’m taking action with ONE to let you know that Congress is on track to cut poverty-fighting funding in the 2009 budget, putting the lives of millions of people who depend on our help at risk.
ONE members around the country are sending a petition to the Senate asking that they restore that funding and uphold our promise to the world’s poorest people.

Security In Retirement | Protecting Social Security.

Disabled, seniors and myself believe that after a life of hard work, you’ve earn a secure retirement. Our commitment to protecting Social Security is absolute. It must be protected.

I am Edward Janus a Disability Advocate and Activist. I have been on Permanent Social Security Disability since 1996.

I have Cerebral Palsy and I am a permanently disabled amputee confined to a wheelchair. I am a Homebound, Shut-In and I Live Alone. I would contact people by telephone, but I am also deaf. I cannot hear very well on the phone. Reach me by email.

After my wife was killed in 1999 she was hit by an automobile crossing a street. And now, I Live Alone. I own my home still pay a mortgage and pay huge property taxes. I receive only one household income. A Social Security Disability check monthly about $1400.

I can no longer afford EXTRA little things and barely any necessities. I also had over ten surgeries on cervical spinal column in my lifetime. I had many, many Medical Bills. Not to even mention Utility Bills, Bigger Higher Heating Gas Bills, Groceries and Inflation. I am just getting by. So we can ALL use a little more help when it comes to Social Security or Other Programs.

We “MUST PROTECT” Social Security.
